Your family completes the Skill and Portfolio Roadmap, the Scholarship and Opportunity Roadmap, and the Family Support Agreement, signed together to close the weekend.
This Is a Guided Build
This is not a webinar where you listen and leave with more information than direction. Each session is short teaching followed by live guided building, with your family completing each plan in the workbook as we go. Parent and student attend together, because half of these plans only work when both of you helped write them.
AI has changed what a technology degree asks of students, and it has made early struggle easier to hide. This weekend is how families stay ahead of both, on purpose.

What Happens After the Challenge
By Sunday afternoon, your family holds the complete roadmap. The next challenge is carrying it out once classes become demanding, confidence dips, and deadlines arrive.
On Sunday, after your family's roadmap is complete, I will share how Freshman Launch: First Year Technology Success Program supports students through the freshman year of that roadmap, with coaching, accountability, and parent briefings, all the way to sophomore year planning.
The weekend stands on its own, whether or not you continue.
Your Guide for the Weekend
Dr. Rose Shumba is Chair and Professor of Computer Science at Bowie State University, with more than 20 years teaching and mentoring technology students. She previously served as Professor of Cyber Science at the United States Naval Academy and was featured in The New York Times for building a pipeline that connects computing students directly to employers.
Straight Answers
What if we miss a live session?
Every session has a replay: 48 hours on General, through September 30 on VIP. Come live if you possibly can. The guided build is the point.
Classes have already started. Is it too late?
No. These plans work in week one or week three. Earlier is easier, but later still beats never.
My student is lukewarm about attending.
Bring them anyway. The first build on Saturday usually wins them over, and the family ticket already covers you both.
Is this a sales pitch?
The weekend stands completely on its own. Your family leaves with all five plans either way. On Sunday I will also share, openly and without pressure, how families who want support all year can keep working with me. You will know it is coming, so you can relax and focus.
