Those two concerns sit underneath many of the questions people ask about entering non-coding cybersecurity. They see job titles, certifications, training options, and conflicting advice, but they still cannot see the first practical step or picture the work they would do.
I asked 53 people who registered for a recent Governance, Risk, and Compliance masterclass what was holding them back. These were their answers:

Nearly seven in ten were career changers bringing experience from another field.
