Saturday: Understand the Assignment and the Company
- Start With the Assignment. Meet the case: TechFlow's leaders have approved an information security risk assessment, and you are the analyst they have asked to run it. Understand what leadership expects back from you.
- Get Set Up. Create the folder, cover page, and checklist you will use for your work.
- Learn the Words You Need. Learn the terms you will use on Sunday: risk, likelihood, impact, risk owner, and the four responses a company can choose. Dr. Shumba shows how an analyst uses each one on a real example.
- Get to Know TechFlow. Study TechFlow's services, systems, information, people, and suppliers. Start writing down what matters most to the company and what could be harmed. You will meet every fact you need for Sunday's decisions, including one supplier situation that has no easy answer.
- Take Your Assignment. Finish your TechFlow company snapshot and list the risks you can already see. You will use that list to build your register on Sunday.

Sunday: Build and Explain Your Risk Case
- Create Your Risk Scoring Guide. Set the rules you will use to write, score, and rank TechFlow's risks, and to recommend what the company should do about them.
- Build Your Five Risk Entries. Write risk statements in plain business language, score each risk, name who should own it, recommend a response, and set an action date. For each one, add a short note explaining why you scored it that way. Dr. Shumba builds the first entry with you, and you build the next four with coaching.
- Write Your Decision Brief. One page on the risk you ranked first: what you found, what you considered, and what you concluded and recommended.
- Write Your Risk Memo. Sum up the biggest concerns for leaders, what they could cost the business, what you recommend, and what leadership needs to decide.
- Say It Out Loud. Practice a two-minute explanation of why your top risk comes first, with a partner in a breakout room. If you would rather not present live, submit a short recording instead.
- Turn It Into Career Material. Create resume bullets and an interview explanation of your work. You will also get templates to finish your LinkedIn description and a longer interview story after the event.

Meet Your Coach
Dr. Rose Shumba has more than 20 years of experience helping students and professionals prepare for technology and cybersecurity careers.
She is a cybersecurity educator, computing professor, and former director of a National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security-designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense.
Dr. Shumba holds the PECB ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation credential. She created the TechFlow Solutions case and teaches every Challenge session live.
